Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
offciers question 17 year ols
do I have the right to ask an officer of the law not to question my 17 year old until I am present? I thought this was my parental right. Is this a state staute/law

You have the right to ask, but the police need not honor your request. It's a question of appellate case law according to the Florida and federal constitutions, not Florida statutes. Your child does have the right to have a lawyer present during questioning, though.
