Officially Charged
From the date of arrest, how many days can a person be held in in jail before they are officially charged with the crime they were arrested for.

Re: Officially Charged
A person can be held for 33 days without charges being filed. After that they are entitled to release on their own recognizance unless (1) the State asks for an extension (rarely happens) or (2) the State files formal charges.
