Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
What is an "order for case management" and an "appearance record continuance?"
Asked about 1 hour ago - Sarasota, FL
I tried to research this one but couldn't come up with a good explanation.
This is a felony drug case. The arraignment was scheduled for this morning (1/13).
Here's the recent activity:
1/11/2012 MOTION TO PRESERVE RECORD
1/13/2012 APPEARANCE RECORD CONTINUANCE
1/13/2012 ORDER FOR CASE MANAGEMENT
I've seen these on a lot of different cases.
I have an unconfirmed theory that the defendant may have checked herself into rehab. Would that make sense? She couldn't appear at the arraignment? What's the case management all about?
Thanks!

Even though you've given a lot of information, it is too difficult to tell based on what's given to answer your question. Rehab is a possibility. You need to talk to her attorney to find out for sure what the status is.
