Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Am I being over-sentenced??
I had charges pending in 2 diffrent counties at the same time. The first county sentenced me to community control, the second sentenced me to prison. I started the community control first, then went to prison for the second county. The first county is now making me start the community control over and will not give me credit for time served. I appealed to the court of my first sentence to try and get all charges ran together, but they refused to hear my case, but agreed to allow my co-defendent a lesser sentence. IS this legal?

Re: Am I being over-sentenced??
I cannot get a clear picture of all the details but it sounds difficult to imagine if you were first sentenced to community control and then sentenced to prison and immediately went there. It seems to me the sentences should have been concurrent. Lacking more details I cannot say either way.
