A friend of mine was working for a trucking company and was arrested for something they found hid in the truck now someone is coming forth to claim it but wasnt at the scene but admits to putting it in the truck before he left what is likely that will happen to the guy that was initially charged

The state haas tot prove the driver knew the stuff was there, and knew it was illegal. The other guy can be his witness to say otherwise. Its called constructive possession. Have your friend call me if I can be of help. I have handled many cases like this.
