Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Within the past couple of days my mothers jewlery went missing and she had blamed it on my fiance who was living with us. He was detained one day ago for questioning. My fiance had pawned some of her jewelry so thats how they were able to pick him up. After the detective asked question after question he began to think that he was not guilty but that I was. This is a crime I DID NOT commit and they were going to arrest me with grand larceny until my mother dropped the charges. He is free now and so am I and now my mother is saying that if I see him I will be arrested. Can this be true? I still love him and after all this my family has disowned me and he is all I have. I want to be with him but don't want to get arrested. I really love him and am considering saving money up, packing my bags, and leaving so we can be together. Can I really be arrested for seeing him?

This particular motivation/contingency for her pursuing the criminal charges against you is not illegal to the best of my knowledge. Although, in defense to criminal charges against you, a criminal defense attorney might question the truth of her testimony by questioning her motivation. I doubt you want it to go that far...
