Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

A person was arrested in July 8 2010 for drug charges intent to sell and trafficking.

1. How long does the state( D.A.) have to formally indict or charge person.

2. What time limit is "usual" for this?

3. Is it better or worse that this much time has lapsed?

The state has 175 days from the date of arrest to formally charge you. Every case is different but one month is common but oftentimes it may be several months. There isn't a better or worse time because the state reviews every case individually. Feel free to contact me at my website below.
