What happens when a person has a openbook warrent if the police dont find the person does it go away in 30 or 60 days ?

Put simply, it never goes away until you are arrested or you turn yourself in.

A warrant remains open and active unless and until it's addressed by the issuing court. While it will certainly not expire at any point, you may want to address it with an attorney, as some warrants can be recalled.
