Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If a person is on probation, violates, gets sentenced to 24mths in prison for the violation. Shouldn't the person get time served for being on probation beforehand? Or is it just time served while in jail?

Generally yes to getting time for beforehand, but it depends on how the judge ordered it.

You don't get credit against a prison sentence for time you spent on probation. You only get credit for any prior jail or prison time you accumulated on the same case.
