Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
A person is sentenced to prison and sentenced to pay a fine - I assume the fine wouldn't be paid until after the prison sentence was completed? And I would also assume that there would be a payment scheduled to pay the fine. And what happens to the person if they do not keep the payments current?

It depends on whether probation is involved. If they got a straight prison sentence, then the person is assessed the fine as a lien. However, it is subject to compound interest so it can add up pretty quickly. If on probation then it is usually a condition of probation.
