Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
if a person gives a statement that is false can that person be held accountable if he or she is a victim of the person that actually committed the crime?

of course, but then again you knew that before you asked the question. If you give a false statement you might be charged with filing a false offense report, or worse, purjury depending on where the statement was given. Actually being a victim does not give you a free pass to lie about the event.
