Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

petit theft

My son applied for a job at Publix supermarkets. He was charged with a misdemanor petit theft and was sent to a program.(nolle pros-Comp pti]that was 6 months ago. My question is if that would show up in his criminal background.

If your son was arrested for the petit theft offense as an adult, his arrest record is public record and will show up on a criminal background check... even if his charge was dropped upon the completion of PTI. If he is an adult, he probably wants to get his arrest record sealed or expunged.
