Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
petit theft
standing in the entrance way of a dept. store get a soda out of the maching, manager comes us says tell me the truth and i wont call the cops. told him the truth and went to his office and he physically pushes me into chair and rips my purse off my sholder and dumps it then stand practically on top of me yelling and screaming. then calls cops and i go to jail. he claimed i had stollen many items and he kept things in my purse that were mine. did he have the right to do this?, and what should i do. technically (i think) i never stole anything couse i had not left the store.(pls correct me if im wrong about that) first offense ever and im 36
