Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Petty theft-What is the averge time between magistrate court & next appearance?

I was arrested in 1997 on a petty theft charge. This my first and only offence. I was released with a order to appear and I missed my court date. A warrant was issued with a $500 dollar bond. I just recently turned myself in on Feb. 17, 2007. I saw the magistrate judge the following morning. I thought I would get time served but it didn't happen So I bonded out. I have no scheduled court date yet. How long does this process usually takes? My employer says my legal issues must be taken care of before I can report back to work. I was arrested in ft. Lauderdale So this would be in a Broward County Court system.
