Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
police planted evidence no $ 4 attorney
on the arrest report the police claim to have done a field presumptive test for GHB and it tested positive. Our county sheriffs dont have a field test kit for GHB. The officer also told her employer she tested positive that night for it. Her drug screen came back negative for all drugs. Her purse was brought to the officer by a friend of the officer she had been away from her purse for about 40 minutes and pulled out a bottle of bubbles which they believed was GHB. The latents on the bottle tested negative for her prints. Chemistry still has not come back. We fear they will come back pos due to the fact the he lied about the field test kit and to her manager. she has nerve damage in her left hand from the arrest and deep scars on all wrist and ankles from the restraints. Our attonrney wants money upfront to go to court if not all he will do is plea. she doesn want to plea to a crime she did not commit. we need advice

IF you cannot afford private counsel then call your local Public Defenders office. The PD has fine attorneys that have lots of experience. Generally, when you hire an attorney you get what you pay for, and if you can't pay several thousand dollars for a private attorney in a matter such as the one you are facing, then by all means GET THE PUBLIC DEFENDER to help you. Good Luck...
