Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Police Stops in Florida
May the police stop you outside of their city limits, without activating lights prior to leaving the city and not a fresh pursuit situation? i.e. say a cruiser wants to stop you but is waiting for a safe place to perform the stop outside of the city limits, and their jurisdiction. Legal stop?

If an offense is committed within the officer's jurisdiction, the officer may continuously follow a person to a safe place outside the jurisdiction to do the stop.
