Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
POS Fraud
I made fradulent returns ($1218) to my credit card while working for a company. I was terminated and as of today I have repayed all the monies back to the company. Could they still press charges?

Re: POS Fraud
Absolutely. It will depend on whether the company called law enforcement and reported the theft. If so, you could face either scheme to defraud, theft by employee or grand theft all of which are 3rd degree felony charges.
Re: POS Fraud
YES. People would "borrow" money a lot more frequently if they could not get in trouble (as long as they returned the money before criminal charges were filed).
With that being said, the fact that you paid the money back right away should help mitigate the situation.
Good luck.
