Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Possesion of Valiume
If I left the state, would they exradite me back to Florida for this petty charge? Considering the fact that I was here on vacation and they will not let me transfer my probation.

I disagree with your assessment. Possession of Valium is a felony charge in Florida. If you are on probation now, and you fail to report to probation, a warrant will be issued and you could later be arrested in nay state. If you are pretrial and levae, the results are the same. Fleeing is never a good option, there is always a better solution. Please call me if you are interested in resolving your matter.

They might not come looking for you but when or if you missed a court date the judge would issue a warrant for your arrest and the warrant would be visable throught the US, so if you were ever pulled over you would be arrested and possibly held until you were transported back to Florida.
My office is here in Lauderdale and I could work something out for you. Most likely get your probation transfered to another state.
Give me a ring at the office if you would like to chat.

First, you can leave the state while out on bond as long as you or your attorney appear for the court mandated appearances. Now, if you meant can I just skip out on the process and not deal with the charges, my colleague is correct. The judge would issue an arrest warrant and you risk being arrested in your state of resident if you are pulled over for even a simple traffic citation. My question to you is why do you assume that, one, that probation will be involved? Maybe you have a defense? Two, why do you state that if you are placed on probation, that you wont be allowed to transfer that probation to your home state? I suggest you contaqct my office at the number below for a free initial consultation. There are several options available to you, depending on the facts and your history, that you are not aware of that could effect that outcome of your case.
