Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Possession of cocaine
My neice now 9months pregnant got arrested for posession and intent to sell cocain. I was subpeona to testify that she was staying in my house the day of the arrest and that she barrowed a pair of pants from me. I am ok with her staying at my house, but i'm not sure about stating the pants were mine. Should i state the pants were mine?.

You should only tell the truth otherwise you will face charges of your own.
Re: Possession of cocaine
If the pants were not yours, you should NOT go into court and lie under oath. You would be committing perjury and could be charged with a felony and receive up to five years in prison. If the pants were yours, I would highly recommend getting an attorney because you should not be required to go into open court, under oath, and admit to a crime that you may have committed. You would have a constitutional right not to testify in a way that would incriminate you. If you have any further questions and/or need help on this matter... please feel free to email me and/or contact my office tomorrow.
