Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Possession of xanax

I don't know the complete story, but my boyfriend has a felony charge because of 1 xanax pill he had without a prescription. He went to jail for a night and they released him on probation. They put him in some kind of drug program, but he eventually stopped going. He then missed his court date, thinking it was months later than it was. He now doesn't know what to do. What is the maximum charge he could get? And is there any way that he might be able to get back on probation?

You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

Your boyfriend should seek legal counsel to try and get the matter resolved. It is possible that an attorney will be able to get the court to reinstate the probation although your boyfriend's violation of the program will definitely not be taken lightly.
