Posting Bail
When would you normally have the money you paid to post bail returned to you?

Bail is a requirement that is imposed to secure your appearance in court. Once your case has been resolved; plea or trial, your obligation to appear has been met. You are then entitled to return of the money. HOWEVER, if you utilized the services of a bail bond agency, you paid only a fraction of the cost and the bondsman wrote an insurance policy using your money for its premium and its profit. In that case, no refund is due you. Check with your attorney....
