Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
In preparing my Federal Income Tax I opted for Direct Deposit for my refund. I erroneously entered the wrong bank account on my return.
The IRS deposited the refund into the account listed on the return. The person owning the account was notified of the error but withdrew ($4854) and refuses to repay the fund. Both IRS and BankAtlantic says since it's not thier error I am out of luck.
This occured in the state of Florida. What can I do?
Thank You,
Chaz Holt

You need to contact the police to conduct an investigation of the events. You may also need to file a lawsuit for civil theft.
