Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Hi, What exactly is a presider?
I am being accused of Misdemeanor Battery and instead of a judge it says Presider..
Is that the same thing as a judge?
thanks

I have never heard that, but what you probably heard was that someone would preside over your case; it must be a judge. By Florida constitution, only elected County court judges can hear misdemeanors.
