Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Should I press charges

I work security in a nightclub. I had an altercation with a patron. In an effort to prevent him from enetering an off-limits area I put my hands across the rail to stop him . He then grabbed my arm and threw it out of the way. A scuffle escalated from there. The police were notified and documented our mutual injuries and information. No one was arrested and there were no witnesses in his defense and 1 in mine. I am not wanting to press charges (it being my job ), however, he informed the officer that he was going to. Question is, what can happen from now, what is the procedure as far as pressing charges goes. What are the consequences of pressing charges for both parties, . (i.e.,financial/criminal) Thank You.

Re: Should I press charges

I agree with you, I wouldn't bother pressing charges. You pressing charges won't impact him pressing charges. I would let it go. If you change your mind, go to your local police station.
