Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Probation

I was charged with 2 misdemeanor charges and was placed on Felony probation instead of misdemeanor probation and now my probation officer has violated me. It states that I am in arrears $100.84 on my payments but I have my recipts where I have payed my monthly payments to her and I have until Sept to pay my fines totaling $490.00. Is it right that I am on Felony probation when I didn't commit any felonies?

if you were originally charged with felonies, but plead to misdemeanors you should be on felony probation. i have a client charged with felony grand theft who will plead on monday to misdemeanor petit theft and he will go on felony probation. you must pay all your monies 30 days before tha last day of probation.

I am not completely sure I understand. I find it difficult to understand how you are on felony probation if you were convicted of a misdemeanor. You should only be facing misdemeanor penalties on a violation of probation. Once you took the plea in circuit it should have been transferred to county court.
