Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Procuring to solicate prostituation

My friend was arrested for procuring to solicate a prostitute, however he was caught up in a sting they were doing while selling CD's. He plead no contest, and was given the option of going through a program where they would drop the charges. My question is will his record be sealed or would he till have to go through the process of having it sealed. Also if he decides not to do the program would he have to go back to court and possibly face jail time. This is his first offense, he has never been in trouble before.

He should of course do the program and he will have to contact a lawyer to seal his record. It does not seal itself.

If your friend does the diversion program, the charge will be dismissed -- but it won't be sealed. You will need to have an attorney file all of the appropriate paperwork to seal his arrest record.

If you have any questions about sealing or expunging an arrest record, please visit my website at:
