Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Psyco strikes again and cant back out
friend faced judge today on charges he hit his wife. she wont tell the truth and say she hit it on his door. he has charge after charge on his record of her crying wolf then dropping the charges. this time she tried to drop them and the state picked it up. they said hes got a long record of violence. shes the violent one, in fact she ran up to him at walmart yesterday, hit him, stole his phone and fled. then later he found it on his steps with an apology letter. shes bipolar and compulsive liar, shes fine one second then a different person the next. he declined the plea bargain since hes not guilty. now they say hes in hot water. three attorneys said itll be a lot of money and almost hopeless to win. shes stolen, destroyed/sold all of his stuff, emptied the bank and got him fired. he cant get any lower and now they say hes gonna lose if she doesnt tell the truth. when someone asked if she wants to see him in jail she said no but im trying to teach him a lesson. she thinks hes having an affair and when i talked to the da about me being on the phone during the fight and it didnt happen how she said, the da just said it sounds like im sleeping with him and threw me out. now what?? im afraid he will plead guilty to end this. any hope?
