Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
public defender
If charges are reduced. my public defender should file for a bond reduction hearing correct? It has been over a month since the reduction and the p.d. has done nothing. Now can I fire my p.d? how long would that take? and how long would it be to get a new one?

Re: public defender
no i dont agree. it is not necessary to file a bond reduction because of reduced charges unless you were in jail. you can fire your pd, and either represent yourself or hire a private lawyer. you cant get a new pd.
