Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

what is punishment for accesory after the fact for grand theft in Florida?

My son was with a boy when he stole property from two cars in close proximity. The boy had ask him for a ride and then decided to go for a walk. The crime occured while he was walking with the boy and the boy ran back after stealing the property and got in my son's truck. Although the boy is younger than my son, he is much bigger. When I ask my son why he didn't report the crime, he stated ''it was too late he had already done it''l My son is only 18 and didn't know how to handle the situation. What can a lawyer do for him?

Much! A good criminal lawyer will make sure that your son does not plead to a crime for which the state can't prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. One can also explore every possible defense to the crimes charged and attempt to make sure these charges don't impact his future. If you can afford it you should absolutely retain counsel for him.
