Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Hello,

I have a question, I was arrested for grand theft 3rd degree in 2007 and I took PTI and the case was nolle prosse, fine! in the program they gave me information on getting it expunged and a year later I started the process, to find out that the FLDE (florida) denied me because in the past i was arrested for driving while license is suspended, Which i think is stupid, I think traffic should be kept separate ,unless you hit some one and fled the scene. I have come to find out that there are a lot of people in my shoes. I think this should be brought in front of the supreme court but anyway My real question is, should i check yes or no on a job application when applying? because honestly most people don't know what NOLLE PROSSE means, and they automatically disqualify you a candidate for employment.

Yes or no to what question? If you are being asked if you been arrested, then you should answer yes, but offer an explanation that the charge was dismissed. On the other hand, if you are asked if you've been convicted, then the answer is no. However, you may still want to offer an explanation to potential employers.
