Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
here is my question. If you do not consent to a search of your vehicle as ofcourse you should never. however weither they bring a dog or call for a warrant they are still in the end going to search your car. So why do we not just give consent to the search in the first place.

Because, giving consent gives the cops unfettered permission to search the car. If they have probable cause, they don't need your permission. If they don't have your permission, then any irregularities about the search can be challenged. With your permission, these irregularities cannot be challenged if they find contraband.
Never, ever give permission.

They can just go get a warrant or prolong your stop to get dogs. Just say no.
