Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
i was questioned about a shooting that happened where no one was hurt but the person told the police that i allegedly tried to rob and shoot him. When i was brought in for questioning the police told me that they were going to charge me with attempted murder if I didn't tell them where the gun was. I kept repeatedly telling them that i had no idea what they were talking about. I was very scared that they were going charge me with the attempted murder and they kept coercing me until i just lied and told them that i threw it in my back yard. They went to my house and searched for the gun but didnt find it because it wasn't there. But i also told them that i had bullets in my closet witch they now have but they do not belong to the gun in question they belong to a friend who is currently incarcerated. I was supposed to get a public defender but i found out that i cannot talk to them until the day of the trial. I wanted to try and find out what i can do to help me get out of this mess. I have 2 small children that need me and this is my first offense. This is all just a misunderstanding. I was wanting to go to job corps to get my life back together and start providing for my family. Will this help in trial?

You should not be asking these kind of confidential questions on here. Demand to talk to your public defender immediately. They have to talk to you. The main thing that will help you at trial is talking to your public defender.
