Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

More questions

Controlled drugs were missing at work. The deputies interviewed several people, and the employer also did an investigation. The county website has it as petty theft not closed case. I was terminated. I cooperated with deputies and employer thus far. I dont have any other information.

Now an investigator is calling and asking me to come down to station. He won't talk on phone. He is also asking my coworker same thing.

Will i be penalized if I don't answer him at this point? Can I refuse further questioning?

I am also ill, and use oxygen occasionally; and suggested he come to me. He did not do that, and left me another message to call him and set up a time to meet.

Re: More questions

I would contact an experienced criminal attorney immediately. An attorney can speak to the detective and find out the status of the case. You DO NOT have to give a statement to the police and it is often to your benefit to NOT give a statement to the police. If you have any specific questions about your situation, feel free to contact my law office today.
