rear ended by convict in stolen car,hospital bills

if someone was rear ended by convict in stolen truck, hospital bils unpaid,3 weeks later attemped suicide bacause of this, more bills, all in collection. shouldnt convict pay all bills?

Yes restitution should be ordered in the criminal case, this will probably not be worth much as the other attorney has pointed out.

If the person has uninsured motorist coverage you could make a claim for this to the insurance company. In Florida uninsured motorist coverage is required unless the preson signs a rejection notice.

Yes, but, of course, the convict would have to have insurance or the money to pay.
