Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I received a disorderly conduct ticket for urinating in public. I was between two cars and nobody was around but the officer stated that i was in plain view of passing pedestrians. I am a convicted felon and do not want to do jail time or get another charge on my record. What do i do???

I would get an attorney to get with the State Attorney's Office to see if they will dismiss the charge. Hillsborough County will sometimes dismiss a ticket (Notice to Appear) if approached with an "offer" from a private attorney. In some cases, I've been able to get them to dismiss the ticket in return for my client doing some community service hours or making a donation to a specific charity (we can get creative sometimes).

As a convicted felon, you certainly do not need any additional convictions on your record.

If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to give my office a call.

Good luck,
