Re: recieving a supeona to go to court

If you don't appear for court or a deposition after being lawfully subpoenaed, the Judge can bring you before the court on an "Order to Show Cause" and if you don't have a very good reason for skipping out, the Judge has the discretion to hold you in contempt of court and put you in jail.

I would definitely recommend that you just go and get it over with. If you have any further questions, you can give my firm a call since you are in the Tampa Bay area.
