Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
New Release Convicted Felon
My fiance was just released from prison as a convicted felon 3 months ago, He is not on probation or parole. He just got charged with DUI, DUI w. prop damage & leaving the scene of an accident. If he is convicted will he be facing additional punishment for getting in trouble again so soon after his release?

Re: New Release Convicted Felon
If he is not on probation or parole, the new charges will have no effect. His prior conviction should effect how he scores for sentencing.
