Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I would like to know how do you get the release date of a violation of probation adjusted? My brother almost completed 85% of his VOP sentence of 5 years....Is the prison in Florida going to automatically compute his release date, and release him after 51 months? Is this an automatic process ? OR do I have to hire an attorney to file paperwork to get him out after 51 months ? What kind of documents to be filed with the Court, if any, for them to address this release date and to advise the prison?

Contact DOC. They can tell you when his release date should be. You don't need an attorney. His gain and good time are calculated by them.
