Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
removing a felony
I was convicted of a felony about 7 or 8 years ago in the state of NC. I moved to Florida about 3 years ago and i have not bee in any trouble since i was convicted. Will I ever be able to take the felony off my record so that I may get my life back? I have a family now and it is very hard to provide for them.

Re: removing a felony
It is possible, but you need to be asking a North Carolina criminal defense attorney this question. In Florida, it is very hard to get a felony sealed or expunged. Basically, if you were convicted (i.e.- found guilty) by a judge or jury of a felony crime under Florida law, then that criminal charge is ineligible for expunction or sealing. I recommend that you contact a North Carolina criminal defense attorney in the county in which you were convicted for further guidance and legal advice.
