Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Reoffender act

If I was arrested for solicitation to commit armed robery; when in fact I was being watched for a few weeks and did nothing nor did I intend to can I be charged with the reoffender act since I have not been out of prison for 3 years.

Re: Reoffender act

If you were released from prison within the last three (3) years, you may be subject to being classified as a "Prison Releasee Reoffender," otherwise known as PRR. If so, the Judge would have to give you the maximum penalty allowed by law (to be served day-for-day) unless the State Attorney's Office agreed to a reduction.

You should contact an experienced criminal defense attorney immediately.

If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. My office handles these types of cases throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Good luck.
