Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

First I want to say thank you for your response to my question about my 17year cousin who was falsely accused of molestation on the school bus.. I live in panama city and we can't afford to hire an attorney I think he will be assigned to a public defender. He needs help now. I want to know if we file a motion for discovery for the video tape since it has been a while will there be someone to make sure that the tape was not tampered with, because that can prove his case along with the students that were on the bus with him.

Unless an Information charging him has been filed, he cannot get discovery, unless the state just lets him have it. You might request a copy from the school board under the Florida open records law. But he really needs an attorney, either private or a PD.
