Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
restitution on theft
four months ago i sold my landlords car on consignment-there was a consignment agreement signed requirong no payment until title was produced.I collected payment for the car in cash and while waitong for the title spent agood portion of the cash. After trying to conceal this for a short time I told my landlord what happened and they gave me the title and have been allowing to make payments to them. This weekend i was informed that if i didnt pay the full amount by friday they would file a criminal complaint.Does he have this right since i have made payments on over 75% of what was owed
