What can be expected when a person appear before the court?

If it is a first offense you will likely be looking at probation and fines.
However, you should get an attorney. If the judge adjudicates you guilty, your driver license will be suspended for two years. Additionally, an attorney could likely negotiate your admittance into a diversion program, which would result in dismissal upon successful completion.
