Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Return of legal rights
I have a single conviction for a third degree feloney, 6 years ago, to which I pleaded nolo. I was placed on probation and ordered to make restitution. All requirments of both were fully completed. I am in my mid fifties and have no other criminal record.
Is it possible, and if so how might I go about gaining my full rights, i.e. the right to vote.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Return of legal rights
It is certainly possible for you to have your rights returned. Are you sure that you lost them? It would be common in the situation you described for the judge to have withheld adjudication, meaning that you wouldn't have lost them in the first place. You can call my office to discuss the matter if you want.
