Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Is there any risk in replying to adult ads on Craigslist? I have answered a few ads and I have found a lot of hookers. They do not mention money in the opening ad. They just talk about getting together. However, upon reply they will tell me their rates. The last time this happened I relied, "NO! I DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING! I DO NOT TAKE PART IN ANY PROSTITUTION! PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN!!!" I would assume this covers me and protects me if anyone was to wonder what my intentions were. It would be clear that I am not doing anything illegal. I am not looking for prostitution. Is this correct? I would have nothing to worry about?

If you have no Criminal Intent then you should have nothing to worry about. That said be very careful because you could find yourself in a lot of trouble just due to the appearance that you may be doing something illegal. Also understand that some of those advertising may also be police officers.
