Robbery by Snatching
What does ''Robbery by Snatching'' mean?? If my purse is on a bench next to me and someone runs up and grabs it, is that Robbery by Snatching? or do I have to be holding it? My friend says it can be on the bench, and I say I have to be holding it?

That would not be robbery by sudden snatching because there is no force used at all to overcome the person.
