Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My room mate is a convicted felon (10+) years ago, is no longer on probation, etc. The conviction was in the state of Indiana and sentencing was less that a 1 year jail sentence.
Does this disqualify me from obtaining a concealed weapon license or to even register/own a fire arm? I am 40+ years old, have never been charged for even a misdemeanor.

It shouldn't stop you from registering or owning. However, if you are going to store it in your home, it needs to be locked into a safe or some other safekeeping that your roommate does not have access to. While this protects you, it will also protect your roommate.
