Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I took a screw from homedepot
Hi, i put a screw in my pocket and i was stopped at the door of home depot. The value is about $1. I was stopped at the door and told not to return for a year. I had to fill out papers and now their lawyer is saying that if i don't pay $200 that they're going to review the possibility of further civil action. They state that home depot may proceed with a civil penalty claim. What should i do? How do i know they won't keep asking for more? I know it should have been with my other things but it would have fallen out of the cart.

When you pay the money they sign a waiver of further action.
