No the points stay on you record and are added to your score if you get charged with a crime in the future.

No. Once you've committed an offense (and have been convicted or received a withhold of adjudication), those points will remain on your criminal punishment code scoresheet for each additional offense you are charged with in the future.
The theory behind the sentencing guidelines is that your sentencing range is supposed to increase each time you are charged with another felony.
