can i get a sentence of probabtion if I was never arrested for the crime?

Being arrested is not the key factor. This issue is whether or not you were charged. If you were charged then you can be sentenced to anything under the law including probation. Someone can be arrested and never charged and they would not be subjected to any form of sentence.
